PURPOSE: The U.S. Air Force requires the following items/equipment to be purchased for the Operations and Maintenance task order currently under contract at the CISF at Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Raytheon is under contract for the effort. The government intends to have Raytheon lease/purchase the equipment as sole source. JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION: In the effort to complete a working system, it is recommended that Raytheon lease/purchase the list of equipment for the following considerations and reasons: to meet timeframes, milestones, schedules; Raytheon has established relationships with contractors that can supply the equipment; the items/equipment are incidental to the total order; the items are unique in nature; and the equipment is needed to complete a successful effort. Concerns having the ability to furnish the above services are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contact) to the acquiring office listed in this notice within 15-calendar days from the date of this synopsis. This notification should clearly show their ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the requirement. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns that respond should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities and may request a copy of the solicitation when it becomes available.
