for Disease Control and Prevention plans to award a purchase order for
developing, conducting, and evaluating an intervention to improve
influenza and pneumococcal coverage among high-risk patients served by
African American physicians. The evaluation factors for consideration
for award are as follows: (1) Organization who represents physicians
in private and public practice for whom African American patients
comprise a minimum of one-half of their patients; (2) willingness to
promote increased utilization of influenza and pneumococcal vaccination
among its physician members using results from a survey conducted by
the NMA; (3) ability to recruit physician members for an intervention
study to improve delivery of adult vaccinations; (4) ability to conduct
evaluation research; (5) technical approach proposed; (6) adequacy of
qualifications of proposed personnel;(7) past performance; (8)
resources available for conducting the work. All responsible sources
