Locum Tenens CRNA is needed at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA as backfill for summer ROTC program. Period of performance is from date of credentialing at Madigan for a period not to exceed 30 September 00 or an estimated 1040 hours. Flexible hours required. Qualifications and Evaluation Criteria: Clinical experience in the administration of anesthesia to ensure a professional working knowledge of anesthesia nursing practices, knowledge of professional nursing and the pharmacological effects of anesthetic drugs, ability to administer inhalation, regional, intravenous, local and topical anesthetics and to detect unfavorable reactions. Ability to administer new agents and drugs and to predict the action and manage any adverse side effects that might occur. Skill in preparation of reports regarding the use and effects of new drugs and agents. Skill in the conduct and management of anesthesia for a broad range of the most complex surgical procedures, knowledge of OR procedures, methods and equipment. At least 2 years experience working as a CRNA. Qualifying degree and board certification; current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) cetification; speak, read and write English fluently; sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity to relate constructively to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds. Further evaluation criteria is the ability of the contractor to provide ALL necessary credentialing documents within two weeks from date of award of contract.
