The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Newport and the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) will host their 7th Business Opportunities Conference at the Hyatt Regency (formerly Doubletree Islander) Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island on 14 June 2000. NUWC Division, Newport is the Navy's full spectrum RDT&E, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems and undersea warfare weapons systems. This unclassified biennial program is designed to disseminate NUWC Division Newport competitive procurement requirements and schedules for the next two years. Presentations by NUWC senior managers will focus on major engineering and support services contract requirements for technical programs. The presentations will address current programs and technology trends. The conference also includes workshops led by subject matter experts on current acquisition methods and issues.
