The USDA, Forest Service, Alaska Region intends to contract for professional land surveying services on the Cordova Ranger District of the Chugach National Forest. Site A and Additives B through D are located north and northeast of the Cordova Airport (Mile 13 of the Copper River Highway), and are approximately 13 to 18 highway miles east of Cordova, Alaska and are accessible from the Copper River Highway and Sheridan Glacier Road. Site A and Additives B through D are retracement surveys of Forest Service boundary within T 15-16 S, R 1 E and R 1-2 W, CRM. The work also consists of brushing, posting, and marking the National Forest property boundary, maintaining corners, bearing trees and other accessories, and preparing required reports and documents. The estimated start work date is mid to late July 2000. The contract period of performance will be 180 calendar days for the field and office work. A firm-fixed-price contract for professional land surveying services will be negotiated. See Numbered Note 24. Interested firms may request a Scope of Services document from the contracting office.
