a Request for Information (RFI) only. There is no solicitation package
available at this time. Dover AFB, DE is seeking information regarding
the availability of"qualified "HUBZone small business concerns" to
perform Clinic Housekeeping Services at Dover Air Force Base. To
qualify as a HUBZone concern, a firm must be: small, located in an
"historically underutilized business zone" (HUBZone), be owned and
controlled by one or more U.S. Citizens, at least 35% of its employees
reside in a HUBZone and be certified as a qualified HUBZone by the
Small Business Administration (http://selltoairforce.org/.) DESCRIPTION
OF SERVICES REQUIRED: The contractor shall provide personnel, tools,
materials, supervision, transportation, contract manager, and other
items and services necessary to perform Clinic Housekeeping services
for eight buildings on Dover AFB, DE. In addition to "normal cleaning
services" (vacuuming, carpet shampooing, sweeping, mopping, trash
removal, cleaning & disinfecting), the contractor shall also be
required to dispose of regulated medical waste, provide linen
distribution service and clean patient care areas and minor procedure
units in accordance with a statement of work and applicable
publications which include but are not limited to Infection Control
Program, Accreditation Manual for Hospitals by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JACO) and MTF Exposure
Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens). The initial contract period
will be for the period 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. Option
Year 1 is 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. Option Year 2 is 1
October 2002 through 30 September 2003. Option Year 3 is 1 October
2003 through 30 September 2004. Option Year 4 is 1 October 2004 through
30 September 2005. If Dover Air Force Base receives sufficient positive
responses to this request for information, the referenced services will
be set-aside for HUBZone certified concerns. All prospective offerors
who meet the above requirements must have a commercial and government
entity code (CAGE Code) and be registered with Central Contractor
Registration (CCR -- http://ccr2000.com/). All responses may be faxed
