F001600-00-T0569, Remove and Replace Carpets and Padding, is being
amended as follows: The solicitation number is corrected to read,
F01600-00-T0569, and will henceforth be referred to as such, The
response date to submit offers is changed to Friday, 02 June, 2000 at
4:00pm central time, The fiber density of the carpet is changed to
4000. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. The Standard Industrial
Classification Code is 1752, small business size $7 mil. This
solicitation, F01600-00-T-0569, is being issued as an Request for
Quotation (RFQ). Issuance of this Solicitation does not bind the
Government to award a Contract. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-17. The Government intends to evaluate offers
and award a contract without discussions, therefore, qualified vendors
should submit a quotation with their best overall lowest price.
Summary of work: Line Item 0001: Vendor to provide all transportation,
tools labor and materials to remove and replace a total of 942 square
yards (total) of carpet and pad at six Maxwell AFB family housing
units. Carpet Specifications: Textured cut pile, 100% polyester,
weight: 45.8 ounces, tufted height: .562 inches, finished pile gauge:
3/32, primary backing: Polypropylene. Total weight: 80.5 ounces,
density: 3298 ounces. Color: Solid, neutral with 3M Scotchguard carpet
protection. Carpet Pad Specification: Tred-mor 2568, 100% virgin
enriched SBR synthetic rubber; Weight per square yard: 68 ounces;
Thickness: .250 inches. Density: 22 pounds per cubic foot. Non-woven
fiberglass, with: 4' -- 6", Roll: 60'. Vendor to provide two (2) 4 inch
by 4 inch samples with written quote. The period of performance is 01
July 2000 through 31 July 2000. Issuance of this Solicitation does not
bind the Government to award a Contract. This announcement constitutes
the only solicitation/proposal being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. This is a 100% small business
set-aside. The following factors will be evaluated: quality of sample
provided, price, past performance and delivery schedule in compliance
with the requirements of this solicitation all the referenced clauses
with price being the most significant factor. The Contractor agrees to
comply with the following FAR clauses, which are incorporated in this
solicitation by reference, to implement provisions of law or executive
orders applicable to acquisitions of commercial items IAW FAR 52.252-2,

received by the federal government shall be made using Electronic Funds
