Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Empire Modular Sand Blaster 7272PRC-12 or
Equal to consisting of the Blast Cabinet, Reclaimer, and Dust Collector
and accessories. The descriptions for each are as follows: Blast
Cabinet: CONSTRUCTION: #11 gauge (minimum) continuos welded seams.
SWING ACCESS DOOR: One swing open door on the right side of the
cabinet, self adjusting door latch, poron gasket (1 inch square
section). BLAST SAFETY INTERLOCK: OSHA approved preventing blast with
open door. FLOOR: 1,500 lb. Capacity, 3/16_ thick, 2 piece perforated
steel with protective edging and 12_ diameter holes. GLOVES: two, 8_
diameter felt lined rubber coated, height of glove openings adjustable.
VIEWING WINDOW: Large 14_ X 22_ safety glass, quick-change knobs for
easy replacement (no tools required), KleenSweep window with air wash
for improved visibility. LIGHTING: Three 150-watts spotlights (450 W
total), KleenSweep cools lights and interior. FOOT TREADLE: Pneumatic
for operator safety, movable with toe guard. BLOWOFF GUN: For manual
air washes of interior and work-piece, OSHA approved. DIMENSIONS:
Outside: 72_ D X 72_ W X 82_ H; w/ Reclaimer: 101_ D X 72_ W X 94_H;
Inside: 72_ D X 72_ W X 62_ H; Door Opening: 64_ W X 58_H. Reclaimer:
CAPACITY: 900 CFM. PURPOSE: Centrifugally separates proper size media
for refuse from undersized particles (dust) and oversized particles.
Good media is automatically deposited into the storage hopper for
refuse, improves blasting consistency and quality, improves operator_s
visibility, fines are conveyed to dust collector and oversized
particles are trapped on scalping screen. EFFICIENCY: 99.5% minimum.
TUNABLE: Secondary air adjustment controls cutoff point between fines
and good media. CONSTRUCTION: #12 gauge (minimum) continuos welded
seams, screen access/media fill door: 6_ X 12_ with latch and gasket.
SCALPING SCREEN: Removable for through cleaning, basket style for
extended cleaning periods. PRESSURE POT: One cubic foot capacity, ASME
coded and National Board registered. Automatic refill and exhaust.
Patented Sure-Flo media regulator assures process media regulation and
uninterrupted media flow. Dust Collector: MODEL: DCM-200A. PURPOSE: To
ventilate blast cabinet for viewability and cleanliness. Provides
energy to convey media to reclaimer for separation. Filters dust laden
air and discharges clean air to shop, reducing heating and air
conditioning costs. CONSTRUCTION: 14 gauge (minimum) continuos welded
seams (door bolted and gasketed). Dust dump door: 4_ X 4_ with latch
and hinge (gasketed). EFFICIENCY: 99.5% to one micron FILTRATION BAGS:
30 Cotton Sateen tubular bags. 6_ diameter by 58_ (6.67 sq. ft. each).
BLOWER MOTOR: _Pull-Thru_ style- mounted on clean airside for impeller
longevity. BAG SHAKER: Standard manual pneumatic shaker provided to
clean bags. SOUND LEVEL: Without Optional Silencer: 76-79 DBA.

X 105_H Accessories are as follows: 1.) Heavy duty conveying hose,
smooth I.D., heavy PVC Flexible hose for maximum hose life. 2.) Reclaim
wear plate; an external, rubber backed steel plate that protects the
reclaimer body from excessive wear at the media inlet. 3.) Manometer,
a gauge that measures the pressure drop across the cartidges in the
dust collector to determine the cleanliness of the cartides. 4.) 48_
manual turntable and dolly/track assembly arid pneumatic piston-lift
hinged door that acts as turntable track when in open position. 5.)
3/16_ Di-Carb nozzle: for blasting with glass bead or steel abrasives.
6.) Boron restrictor for exhaust valve: assures longest life in
interior of the exhaust valve where inspection of parts is more
difficult. 7.) Sight plugs for pressure pot, allows operator to look
inside pressure pot to check abrasive level, includes 2 8.) Static
strap: wornon operator_s wrist to dissipate static charge when humidity
is low. 9.) Upgrade to cdc-9 cartidge dust collector: the cdc-9
cartidge collector has two cartidfges with 452 square feet of filter
area. Includes a 2hp blower motor, 230/60/1 electrical, manual reverse
jet-pulse dust purging via push button, 16 gallon waste drum. 900 CFM
at 6_ static pressure air to filter ratio 1.99 to 1. Dimensions: 40_

required. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for a small business
concerns. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued
