This procurement consists of on-site removal and replacement of a Fire Pump Diesel Engine and Controller (Control/ Panel)at Cape Cod AFS, Sagamore, MA. The work under this purchase order consists of the contractor providing all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary for turnkey removal and replacement of the fire pump diesel engine, fire controller, and associated components as necessary. Remove and replace existing Cummins diesel engine fire pump (V378-F2). New diesel engine should be of a size adequate to drive an existing 1,000 gpm rotary water pump (Aurora, Type 5-451-110, 3,300 rpm, 1,000 gpm) and have as a minimum the following features: 136HP @ 3300 RPM, dual battery, self-contained cooling system and a winterization/start aid, such as a lube oil heater or coolant heater. The response to this Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall address the applicability of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acguisition of Commercial Items. This procurement will be a firm-fixed price simplified acquisition procedure.
