Research Laboratory intends to solicit and negotiate with Raytheon
Infrared Center of Excellence on other than full and open competitive
basis to procure services to Upgrade one microelectronic chip design
(Thin Film Analog Image Processor, TAIP). Raytheon will plan and
support engineering changes to the existing TAIP design so as to
minimize existing problems. Coordinate the fabrication of new mask sets
and related wafer processing at the silicon foundry. Post-process the
wafer returned from the foundry so they are ready for deposition of
polmer layers (to be performed by other sites as directed by DARPA).
Finally, provide supporting documentation for all activities performed.
