A sole source procurement is contemplated to The Washington Publishing Company (WPC) to provide continued support and maintenance of the Implementation Guides (IGs) for Health Care Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards named in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Technical support will include the implementation and maintenance of a website where the IGs and related documentation will be located. The period of performance will be for a base year with two one-year options. WPC has served as the primary maintainer and publisher for the American National Standards Institute Accredited Standards Committee X12, Insurance Subcommittee (ANSI ASC X12N) for several years for the development, maintenance and distribution of numerous Health Care EDI Standard IGs. While ANSI ASC X12N owns the property rights to the IGs, WPC has been granted and holds copyright for that property in ANSI ASC X12N's name, as well as the data storage and manipulation methods.
