This is a procurement on a firm fixed price basis for professional mobile services for the calibration and incidental parts replacement of approximately 5800 items of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) owned by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS). The NWS will require the services over a one year period with four (4) one-year option years at approximately 132 NWS NEXRAD weather radar locations in the continental U.S. (CONUS), Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam. Most sites are equipped with TMDE consisting primarily of Hewlett-Packard (HP) RF signal generators, HP power meters, HP frequency counters, HP milliohmeters, HP power sensors, HP spectrum analyzers, and HP attenuators, along with Tektronix analog and digital oscilloscopes, Wavetek function generators, Fluke digital multimeters, power dividers, dielectric oil testers, and torque wrenches. NWS requirements also include similar older miscellaneous TMDE of various manufacturers at the same sites. The contractor shall provide and maintain Mobile Calibration Facility(ies) or vans for use in CONUS for performing on-site inspection, testing, incidental parts replacement, and calibration. ISO 9000 certification will be required. Performance is anticipated to begin December 1, 2000.
