volpek@navair.navy.mil. The AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar
(ALFS) is the Navy's next generation dipping sonar system currently
being developed for the H-60 platform. Naval Air Systems Command
intends to contract with Raytheon Electronic Systems (RES), Portsmouth,
RI, to refurbish ALFS Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRA) to reflect
currently available electronic components. This work is required to
provide production representative model ALFS units (including spares)
to continue Developmental Testing and begin Operational Testing. RES is
the only firm that the possesses the engineering knowledge of the ALFS
System to provide the refurbishment in a timely fashion. See Note 22.
