a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes that only solicitation; proposals are being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued.. The 11th Contracting
Squadron/LGCN, Bolling AFB, DC, intends to procure on a firm
fixed-price purchase order for the Air Force Child Development Centers.
The contractor will provide two staff members to develop and produce a
full-scale musical with 50-60 youth ages 6-18 years as cast members.
The camp will include auditions, intensive rehearsals, workshops and
finished performances for the public. The camp will be held during a
5-day period for 4 hours per day. The contractor will provide, and each
production will include, professionally designed scenery, costumes,
props and make up, sound and lighting equipment. In addition to
preparing for the production, the camp will include 3 enrichment
workshops for adults and older youth and will take place outside of the
rehearsal schedule. At least two weeks in advance of each visit, the
contractor shall contact the installation Family Member Support Flight
Chief to arrange final logistics for the performing arts camps, and
provide the time and date of his or her arrival at the Air Force
installation. The contractor must have a minimum of 1 year of
experience providing children_s theatre and 10 years of developing and
implementing children_s theatre in civilian communities. The
contractor must show recognition from at least one national
organization such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, 4-H, Boy
Scouts, or Girl Scouts. The personnel working directly with children
must undergo a background security clearance at the expense of the
government. The personnel must be able to speak, write, read and
understand English. All cost associated with transportation and travel
must conform with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). The period of
performance is three months beginning on or about June 30, 2000.
Performance will be at fifteen Air Force installations throughout the
United States. The fifteen locations are the following; Abilene, TX
(Dyess AFB) Knobnoster, MO (Whiteman AFB) Dayton, OH (Wright-Patterson
AFB) San Antonio, TX (Lackland AFB) Rapid City,. SD (Ellsworth AFB)
Grand Forks, ND; (Grand Forks AFB) Minot, ND (Minot AFB) Enid, OK
(Vance AFB) Hampton, VA (Langley AFB) Colorado Springs, CO (USAF
Academy) Fayetteville, NC, (Pope AFB) Tucson, AZ (Davis-Monthan AFB)
Albuquerque, NM (Kirkland AFB), Clinton, MD (Andrews AFB). Potential
contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration
(CCR) database in order to receive an award. The Government will award
a contract resulting from this solicitation to the solicitation will
be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors
considered. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and
clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The
