Unit shall remove all visible smoke from diesel exhaust for an adjusted period of time from 10 to 99 seconds after the vehicle is started. This provides ample time for the vehicle to start and move away from the building. Unit shall also remove all visible smoke from exhaust when the vehicle is in gear and will operate for the preset time after the transmission is shifted out of reverse gear. System shall be fully automatic with the exception of normal maintenance. A manual override shall be provided to allow for operation during servicing or for other special purposes. The system shall in no way be detrimental to the operation and performance of the vehicle. The system shall consist of a replaceable, recyclable ceramic filter unit, diversion unit and electronic control module. Filter unit shall be easily replaceable.
