The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement number N00421-00-G-0321 with Telephonics Corporation, 815 Broad Hollow Road, Farmingdale, New York 11735 to provide three AN/TPX-42A(v) kits. The AN/TPX42A(V) kits consist of : 1. OL-541/TPX-42A(V) (with cable, connectors, CV 3477/TPX); 2. OU-162/TPX-42A(V) Modifications; 3. SA-2497/TPX-42A(V) with attachments; 4. C-11618/TPX-42A(V) with attachment; 5. Unique UYK-44 cables & connectors. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Telephonics is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the AN/TPX-42A (V) 5, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 14 Interrogator sets and ancillary equipment; Telephonics retains all proprietary data rights for the AN/TPX-42A (V).
