B -- FLAT-TAILED HORNED LIZARD RESEARCH SOL 00SQ340230 DUE 062600 POC Ms. Virginia Toledo, Contracting Officer, Telephone 520-343-8136, Fax No. 520-343-8568 The Bureau of Reclamation, under a June 1997 Conservation Agreement has a requirement to initiate a cooperative project with Mexican Environmental Officials to define the status, distribution, and use of the Flat-tailed Horned Lizard (FTHL) in Sonora, Mexico and Baja California Norte. This project will build partnership among Mexican and U.S. counterparts to build a data base necessary to address conservation of the FTHL. The contractor shall be able to compile all records of the FTHL, map areas of northwestern Sonora, Mexico and northwestern Baja California Norte likely to be inhabited by the FTHL, survey areas, and perform habitat assessments for flat-tailed horned lizard. This requirements will be done for two consecutive summers and the performance period shall be on or about July 1, 2000 through July 31, 2002. The contractor shall prepare an interim report on the first assessment and a final report after the second assessment is completed. A Request for Quotation will be available on or about June12, 2000. Evaluation of quotations will be based on the proposal that can demonstrate the Contractor's ability to meet the minimum requirements, is most advantageous to the government, and price and other factors considered. The estimated deadline date for receipt of bids will be June 26, 2000.
