This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Line item no: 1 Quantity: 1 Unit: Ea Work platform system or equal. Elevated platform, floor material -- open steel grate, max. load 225 psf uniform, size 40' x 40' with attached 20' x 10' section, attachment is along the 20' side of section, platform elevation -- 11'-6", clearance underneath -- 10'-0", column spacing 20' and approx. 13'-4", columns -- 8" sq. tubes with 18" base plates, columns are extended upward to 12' above deck level to allow for 12' high overhead structure above deck. Guardrail 2 rail handrail per sbcc 97 code with toeplate, framing 12" c section and i beam, provide 1 36" w stairway and 1 72" "swing" gate, tie extended beams together with joist system for 50 psf overhead (joists only) at level 2. Paint "ford blue," shim floor and anchor as required. To be installed in Building 4655 at Marshall Space Flight Center. See sketch for installation details. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-17. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3446 and 500 employess, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
