Thompson, Contracting Officer, 301-504-1175 Pre-Solicitation Notice -- It is the intent of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, to have the successful contractor perform demolition, site work, construction of greenhouse structures; and installing related electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for research greenhouses at the Subtropical Agricultural Research Center, Weslaco, Texas. Work for Greenhouses 209 and 210 shall include two (2) new structures, glazing, and related electrical plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for (each) a 2,635 square foot greenhouse to be installed with a new concrete foundation and knee wall system. The estimated cost of construction is between $950,000 and 1,100,000. Solicitation packages will be available for distribution on or about July 14, 2000.
