This project consists of building fabric demolition, asbestos-containing material removal, restoration carpentry, and wood shingle roofing. The work will be performed at Valley Forge National Historical Park, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on a nationally significant dwelling. The demolition work consists of removing approximately 3,750 sq. ft. of existing wood shingles; 1,124 sq. ft. of asbestos-containing roof felt paper; metal lined built in gutters; metal flashing and gutters. The re-roofing will consist of appying Government provided cedar shingles, restoration carpentry, painting, and metal work. Performance time is 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This procurement is a Request for Proposal. Evaluation criteria will be listed in the solicitation. Estimated cost of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1521 and the Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. This Request for Proposals is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation.
