between $1,000.000 and $5,000.000. The contractor shall provide all
personnel equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and
services necessary to perform the following work in altering and
repairing of the Visiting Officers Quarters, building 346. The
Alteration will consist of demolition associated with the construction
of new canopies at the entries to the building and construction of new
front and rear entries and all canopies all associated work, including
foundations, columns, masonry, sidewalks, framing and roofing repair
includes asbestos and lead abatement, demolition of exterior CMU walls,
windows, interior wood stud walls, finishes, doors, stairs, plumbing
mechanical, and electrical system. All work associated with the
construction of the exterior of the building including foundation work,
exterior wood stud walls, sheathing, brick veneer, precast concrete,
windows, gutters and downspouts. Building systems includes electrical,
communications, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection. Fire
sprinkler and fire alarm systems are required for the entire building,
including the second Floor. Standing-seam metal roofing system is not
included. Other systems requirements for the second floor are limited
as noted. The repair base bid includes topsoil and grading of
disturbed areas to match adjacent grade and seeding of all disturbed
areas. Second Floor consists of exterior walls: Wall finish shall be
limited to joint tape, mud and sanding of GWB. No final wall finishes
are included to second floor. Interior Work: Construction of interior
walls is limited to stairs, mechanical room, and
electrical/communications room. All required work shall be provided in
these rooms. Construct walls for mechanical chases extending through
the second floor. Mechanical: Mechanical work for the second floor is
limited to exterior wall, ceiling and roof eave penetrations, and
exterior louvers. Fire Protection Systems: Complete fire alarm and fire
protection systems are required for the entire building as shown,
including the second floor. Plumbing: plumbing requirements for the
second floor is limited. All plumbing shall be extended to and through
the second floor, and vented through roof to building exterior.
Provide all fittings, stub-outs and plugs at second floor for future
work. Electrical: Electrical work is not included for exterior walls.
Basic electrical is included for panel, emergency lighting, switches,
fire alarm system and support for rooms to be completed.
Communications: Provide required conduit to future Communication room
at the second floor. Total performance time is 381 days. The
solicitation will be issued as unrestricted and will be evaluated using
Price/Performance Trade-off and under the HUBZone Preference Program.
