The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to solicit Twin Disc and/or their authorized repair facilities to provide the inspection, overhaul, testing, packaging, and shipping of the following Twin Disc reduction gears: Twin Disc MG-507 for 49_ BUSL vessels, NSN 2010-01-450-8801; Twin Disc MG-509 for 41_ UTB vessels, NSN 3010-01-047-2577; Twin Disc MG-521 for 75' WLIC vessels, NSN 3010-01-058-0117; Twin Disc MG-540 for 160' WLIC vessels, NSN 3010-01-088-3782; Twin Disc MG-514 for 55' ANB vessels, NSN 3010-01-127-6490; and Twin Disc MG-518 for 82' WPB vessels, NSN 3010-01-348-9756. It has been determined in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 that the required replacement parts must be obtained from Twin Disc and/or their authorized distributors. This is due to the fact that exact compatibility with the end item is required in order to ensure the proper fit, form and function of all its components. Overhaul of transmissions is required within 120 calendar days from receipt of a Notice to Proceed issued by the Contracting Officer. Delivery shall be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. It is intended to award a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract for a base year and four (4) option years.
