Internal Revenue Service intends to make an award, on a sole-source
basis, to the University of Michigan/the American Society for Quality,
for a sponsorship/subscription to the American Customer Survey Index
(ASCI). The ASCI is a national economic indicator of customer
satisfaction with the quality of goods and services available to
consumers in the US. The ASCI is the only cross-industry national
indicator that links customer satisfaction to financial returns. The
ASCI measures satisfaction with 164 companies and 30 government
