This sources sought synopsis requests information needed by the Government prior to release of any potential solicitation. Please note that this is a revision to a previous sources sought synopsis issued under the same solicitation number. (N00421-00-R-0484). Details follow please read this entire synopsis. OFFERORS MUST ANSWER THE QUESTIONS CONTAINED (BELOW) IN THIS SYNOPSIS. This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. This sources sought synopsis contains the most currently available information, but is subject to change at any time. The Naval Aviation Depot (NADEP), Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking sources capable of providing Technical Data Support Services to include the receipt, maintenance, and general support functions regarding Technical Data for the NADEP. Currently, the Government in-house workforce is performing the services. It is intended to perform a cost comparison, pursuant toOMB Circular No. A-76, in order to determine the most efficient and cost effective performing activity. Accordingly, a contract may or may not ultimately be awarded as a result of the study/cost comparison. If a contractor is selected as the most cost effective performing activity, an award will be made in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 in conjunction with all other applicable Navy and Government acquisition regulations and best practices. It is anticipated that personnel and facility requirements may include the necessity to have or obtain security clearances. In addition, it is anticipated, at this time, that the chosen source will be required to be ISO 9001 and/or IS0 9002 registered in accordance with Raad voor Accreditatie (RvC) and ANSI-RAB accreditation requirements by the date set for receipt of initial proposals (currently estimated at 13 September 2000).
