R -- PUBLIC RELATIONS SERVICES FOR AGENDA FOR THE NATION ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN POC John Young, Contracting Officer, (202) 305-7745, or youngjo@ojp.usdoj.gov The Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Violence Against Women Office (VAWO), requires the services of a public relations firm to develop and disseminate an Agenda for the Nation on Violence Against Women. OJP intends to enter into a sole source purchase order for 30 days services, followed by a commercial items contract for Phase I from July 1, 2000 through October 31, 2000, and Phase II from November 1, 2000 through July 31, 2001 to sustain national and local interest in the campaign. The vendor selected is Trahan, Burden & Charles, Inc. (TBC), 105 6th Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002. The authority is FAR 13.501, test program for commercial items, and 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. TBC began preliminary work and preparation on this project under a subcontract with the Center for Effective Public Policy. It has already established a strong working relationship with staff from VAWO, the Department of Health and Human Services Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Office of Women's Health Service (OWHS) on this project which requires completion and dissemination by October 31, 2000. Therefore, this vendor is uniquely qualified to bring this project to a timely completion. Required deliverables are: (1) The Agenda, a 15-20 document; (2) the Toolkit, a 350 page community organizing tool; and (3) Things You Can Do publication, as well as manage the local outreach and the dissemination plan. This is not a solicitation and no solicitation document will be prepared. Interested vendors may submit a capability statement and/or price quote for these commercial services within 5 working days (June 9, 2000) which shall be considered by the agency.
