E-MAIL: Matthew Maciarello, matthew.maciarello@ssa.gov. The Social Security Administration is seeking any vendor who can supply a Wide Area Network application monitor tool. The tool must be capable of providing ongoing monitoring of applications that flow across SSA's WAN infrastructure. It must monitor applications non-intrusively and provide for collection of metrics and trend analysis at a central site. The following are MANDATORY requirements: the tool must automatically discover applications on the network; it must collect detailed performance metrics including, at a minimum, application response times, end-user response times, traffic flows, and network latency; the tool must perform analysis to provide a high level view of the top applications as well as additional selected applications and will include both Internet and Intranet; the tool must be compatible with SSA's current network infrastructure that uses token-ring bridging and dedicated circuits, as well as the future router based Ethernet network supported by ATM and Frame Relay services; thetool must be compatible with SSA's network management tool, "Netview;" the tool must be capable of performing in a dynamic network environment with over 75,000 workstations, 1,742 remote LAN's, and over 25 Million CICS transactions per day; the tool must have the capability to run daily and historical reports automatically; data must be exportable to a central site server in a standard database format such as SQL.
