"17. The US Air Force, Aeronautical System Center intends to acquire
additional Contract Logistic Support (CLS) for three (3) C- 37 aircraft
on a sole-source basis, under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) as
implemented by FAR 6.302- 1. The contract action will also provide for
an additional priced option for CLS for an additional aircraft in the
event another aircraft is purchased from Gulfstream. Gulfstream
Aerospace Corporation 500 Gulfstream Road Savannah, GA 31408 is the
intended source for this procurement. The Air Force intends for this
action to be placed on contract F34601-97-C-0231. Gulfstream Aerospace
is the manufacturer and current CLS contractor for the C- 37
(Gulfstream GV). They are on contract to support C-37A aircraft at
Andrews AFB, Md. and Chievres AFB, Belgium. The contract contains
options for continued partial (Air Force to provide first line
operational maintenance) CLS at Andrews AFB through FY 2006. The
existing full (100% contractor support) CLS for Chievres is onlyfor one
year. The contractor CLS will include a 24 hour Contract Operated and
Maintained Base Supply (COMBS). Contractual coverage is required to
provide partial CLS for two (2) additional C- 37 Aircraft at Andrews
AFB, Md. and to provide options for five (5) additional years of full
CLS at Chievres AFB, Belgium for one (1) C-37 Aircraft. The RFP will be
released on or about 15 Jun 00, with proposals due 15 Jul 00. Contract
award is expected to be on or about 1 Sep 00. Questions concerning

965-4784. Mr. Steve Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear
concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal
development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor
concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate
government personnel. Existence of the Ombudsman does not diminish the
authority of the program director or the Contracting Officer.
Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of
solicitations, evaluation of proposals or the source selection process
