NIH intends to award a number of task order contracts for a wide range of communication and media services. These contracts will include, but not be limited to, communications research, media analysis, outreach/promotion, product development, information tracking and referral, database development/management, graphic design, meeting/conference support, web site design, development and management, exhibit services, press, public information, marketing and media services, inventory, warehouse and distribution services. These contracts will be available primarily for use by NIH but may be used by other parts of DHHS and other Federal agencies. It is estimated that between 15 and 25 awards will be made. These task orders will probably range initially from small tasks outside of the scope of existing clearinghouse contracts to perhaps eventually awarding tasks that include entire clearinghouse operations. The RFP will be conducted as a 50% small business set-aside with 3 guaranteed awards to 8(a) firm usingSIC code 7375 and a size standard of $18,000,000. The awards will be for a period of 12 months, with 4 additional 12 month options. A sources sought CBD announcement was published for this requirement on 11/15/99. Firms that submitted a survey in response to the sources sought announcement have already been included on the RFP mailing list.
