D -- NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE AWARD The National Science Foundation intends to negotiate with PSINet of Herndon, Viginia on a sole source basis for internet connectivity for the period of June 15, 2000 to October 14, 2000. These services have been provided to NSF by PSINet under subcontract to NSF's E-mail services contractor. That contract is expiring and NSF still has a need for the services. NSF intends in the first quarter of FY 01 to contract for the services directly through an appropriate procurement method. This notice is listed in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit to the POC a capability statement which demonstrates thier ability to provide the services.
