CONTRACTORS OF A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION INDEFINITE DELIVERY
INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) DEMOLITION CONTRACT AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS
STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA. THIS SOLICITATION IS LIMITED TO 8(a) FIRMS.
ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD, Note 4 APPLIES. This
is the Pre-Solicitation Notice for an Indefinite Quantity Demolition
Contract. The Contractor will be required to furnish all labor,
materials, equipment and supervision required for demolition and
removal of various structures, including, but not limited to; one and
two story wood frame, brick, concrete block, metal and concrete
buildings; disconnection and abandonment of existing sewer, water, gas
and electrical utilities; removal and disposal of power/telephone
poles including wiring and transformers; removal and disposal of trees
and shrubs; demolition and removal of concrete and asphalt paving,
walkways, foundations and slabs; removal and disposal of wood, concrete
block and chain link fencing; and crushing of concrete and asphalt
materials to 1" size. Provide asbestos abatement for existing
insulation, siding, sheet rock, plaster, stucco, floor tile, mastic,
and contaminated soil in compliance with federal, state and local
ordinances. Existing structures contain lead paint and demolition must
be conducted in compliance with all federal, state and local
ordinances. Site excavation, back-filling and finish grading will be
required. Award will be based on a sample project subject to
availability/receipt of funds: Provide demolition and removal of a
facility including, but not limited to 5 structures, various
concrete/asphalt pads, concrete sidewalks, chain link/wood fencing,
trees/shrubs, power poles/transformers, utilities service disconnects,
as well as abatement and disposal of asbestos/lead paint material in
compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. All work
must be conducted in compliance with all federal, state and local
ordinances. Performance is at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China
Lake, California. The SIC Code is 1795. The related small business size
standard is $7.0 Million. Resulting contract will include a basic
contract period and two (2) option periods. The cost range is between
$100,000.00 and $12,000,000.00. Task orders will be issued on the basis
of Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP). The proposed contract is 100% Set-aside for
8(a) firms. All other firms are deemed ineligible for award. All
potential bidders are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004,
REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (MAR 1998), lack of
registration in the CCR database will make a bidder ineligible for
award. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7) availability of the
solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium; solicitation
will be available for download via the NAVFAC website at
