PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Repairs to El Portal Visitor Center, Caribbean National Forest. Work includes: 1) replace 11,450 SF standing seam metal roof, Englert or equivalent; 2) paint exterior roof framing structure, elevated walkway pillars, 4,350 SF metal ceiling grid; 3) remove glued down carpet and replace with 416 SY new tile and 150 SY new carpet; 4) remove fiberglass column caps and reconstruct in concrete; 5) construct trench drain at upper terrace; 6) other miscellaneous work. PROJECT LOCATION: The El Portal Visitor Center is near Palmer (Rio Grande county), Puerto Rico, at Km 4.2 on Road 191.
