The work includes replacement of HVAC systems with new handling units,steam heat, ductwork, and controls; installation of sprinkler system; replacement of 120/208 volt panels and enlargement of the capacity to support new loads; installation of new lighting systems and branch circuits to support new offices; installation of fire alarm devices. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1M and $5M and the effort shall be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside.[See Note 1]. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about June 30, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about July 31, 2000. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 17 . The firm date for receipt of bidswill be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from a local print shop. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of drawings] will be available over the Internet.
