The North Cascades National Park Service Complex will issue a Request for Quotation for removing old, and furnishing and installing as new the following in the Stehekin Wastewater Treatment Plant: (1) a wastewater grinder at the outlet of the equalization tank; (2) an air blower and coarse bubble air diffusers in the sludge holding tank; (3) three 8-inch eccentric plug valves for de-sludging the sludge holding tank. The work required by this solicitation is classified as a Permit Required Confined Space Entry under OSHA regulations and will be strictly enforced. All work will be performed within the North Cascades National Park Complex, Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, Stehekin District, Stehekin, Washington. Stehekin is a remote community located 50 miles uplake from Chelan, Washington and may be reached only by boat or seaplane. Equipment must be transported via barge. Due to the busy visitor season in Stehekin, on-site work will not begin until after Labor Day weekend. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1623. The Size Standard is $17.0 million average annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years. The proposed solicitation is offered pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, PL 100-656 and as such is open to all size businesses. A single firm fixed-price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.
