The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for further development efforts on the Intercooled Recuperative Gas Turbine. The effort includes primarily cost improvement initiatives on the recuperator, intercooler and gearbox. No formal solicitation exists, and the work is anticipated to be performed by Northrop Grumman, Marine Division, Sunnyvale, CA, the original designer of the equipments. See Note 22.
