This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F34612-00-QD070 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition is restricted and is under Standard Industrial Classification code 3585, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. 200HP Mobile boiler room, 15 PSI steam, 6,900 lbs. Per hour, 180 gpm (160 F -- 180 F) hot water service. Equipment will be used to provide backup heating maintenance and repair of boilers in our base facilities. Boiler room to consist of/ include: 48' Fruehauf enclosed trailer, dual axles, DOT approved, 200 HP, 150 PSI, 2-pass, fire tube boiler, trimmed for 15 PSI steam operation, industrial combustion DLG-84 gas/ #2 oil burner. 300 gallon make-up valve, sight gauge, necessary valves, strainers, and check valves. Lakeside water softener, model LWT-9000-60-1 dual alternating softener with metered regeneration. ITT Bell & Gossett model SU16 5 -- 2 heat exchanger with steam regulating valve, steam trap, expansion tank, and circulating pump for 680 gpm. Blowdown tank. All equipment will be mounted in trailer, plumbed, and wired. All necessary valves and fittings for interconnection of equipment will be supplied. All necessary electrical disconnects, motor starter, and transformers will be supplied. Boiler room will require 480/3/60 electrical service only.
