This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. FS-WOC-2000-16 is being issued by the USDA Forest Service as a Request for Quotations. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. One contract will be awarded based on responses to this solicitation. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns -- SIC 5032. This project is for furnishing and delivering F.O.B. destination (Ava, MO) 4-inch thick interlocking concrete blocks with 4,000 psi breaking strength to be used for trail hardening. Blocks should be able to flex to a minumum 3-foot radius in all directions and have 30% or more open area. Blocks should be no bigger than 2 square feet each and weigh no more than 50 pounds per block. Estimated quantity -- 6,000 each delivered to the Ava Ranger District, 1103 South Jefferson, Ava, MO 65608. Delivery time -- 30 calendar days. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror -- Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders -- Commerical Items, apply to this acquisition.
