This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to issue an SF 1449 for commercial items and is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is for PE Biosystems ABI Prism 3100 Genetic Analyzer. The analyzer is to automate the detection of genetic variation in Atlantic salmon, Atlantic sturgeon, brook trout, spotted salamanders, wood frogs, bog turtles, black bears, and Florida manatees at the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory of the Leetown Science Center, Kearneysville, West Virginia.
