The Naval Air Warfare Center/Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Laboratory Instruments and Standards Team, has a requirement for Calibration Adapters (CA's) for the Consolidated Automated Support Systems (CASS) High Power Device Test Subsystem (HPDT), for adapting and transitioning calibration standard signals and measurements to the HPDTS interface for calibration of the measurement standards and Support Equipment (SE) embedded in the HPDTS. The CA's will be used during the calibration of the HPDT system to interface, connect, load, and channel RF/Microwave electromagnetic energy and signals to and from the Calibration Standards and the HPDT. The CA's are passive devices and shall be designed for use in calibration laboratories and industrial and military environments including shipboard use. The 22 individual components per group of CA's includes: Band 7 UUT Adapter -- Transition Waveguide (TW#1), Directivity Coupler (DC#1), Short Circuit Plate (SCP#1), Type N Adapter (T#N1), Waveguide (WG#1), Directivity Coupler (DC#2), Short Circuit Plate (SCP#2), Type N Adapter (T#N2), Band 8 UUT Adapter -- Transition Waveguide (TW#2), Waveguide (WG#2), Directivity Coupler (DC#3), Short Circuit Plate (SCP#3), Type N Adapter (T#N3), Band 9 UUT Adapter Transition Waveguide (TW#3), Directivity Coupler (DC#4), Short Circuit Plate (SCP#4), Type N Adapter (T#N4), Waveguide (WG#3), Waveguide (WG#4), Directivity Coupler (DC#5), SMA Adapter (SMA#1), and N-Female to SMA Adapter. All bidders shall provide all 22 components times the number of CA groups required by this solicitation in their bids. No partial bids will be allowed. Additionally, the manufacturer shall affix calibration and warranty stickers on each unit. This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12 as a competitive, 100 % small business set-aside acquisition. The applicable SIC is 3679 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The resultant award shall be a firm fixed price contract. Award is anticipated on or before 1 September 2000 with an estimated delivery date of 24 October 2000. The Navy intends to release the solicitation via the Internet on or about 21 June 2000.
