The cutter's home moorage is located in San Diego, CA. This solicitation will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program on about the 26 June 2000. The period of performance starts 02 October and ends 10 November 2000. The major worki items include and not limited to: Voids (U/W) preservation, internal hull plating renewal, underwater body inspection, propeller cleaning and inspection, voids(non-accessible) leak test, tanks (MP fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (MP fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, propeller cleaning and inspection, propulsion shaft coating inspect & cleaning, propulsion shaft rope guards renewal, propulsion shaft seal inspect & clean, heat exchanger cleaning and testing, motors (critical) renew/replacement, motors (critical) calibration, fathometer transducer replacement, sea valve (renewal)(overhaul), steering gear general maintenance, boat boom level 2 inspection and service, sewage holding tank clean & inspect, under water body preservation, zinc anode renewal, rudder/rudder stock removal and installation and etc. The notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small Business Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned, disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
