The Agency for the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Special Populations and Projects/SAMHSA, Through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch, plans to ward a 9 month Sole Source Simplified Acquisition to Health Policy Resources Group, LLC. The anticipated award date is June 21, 2000. CMHS has taken the lead in developing the Nsps, in collaboration with other DHHS Agencies and the Office of the Surgeon General. The Recommendations From the Reno conference will form the starting point for the Nsps. Development of the Nsps will be planned in such a way as to involve all Key Stakeholders and will include the convening by a moderate size conference in Cy20001. The Contractor shall provide consultation to CMHS, via meetings and telephone calls, on the methodology of developing a national plan for suicide prevention. The Contractor shall meet with the project officer (To include at least four all-day meetings and other face-to-face meetings as needed) and shall participate in weekly one-hour conference calls as necessitated by the Need Of Strategy Development and Implementation. The Contractor Shall Develop a Set of Goals and Measurable Objectives That Could Serve as the Basis for a National Suicide Prevention Plan. The Contractor Shall Prepare Background Material on Develiping a National Plan and Develop a Notebook for Use of the Federak Nsps Steering Group. The Proposed Simplified Acquisition Is for Services for Which the Government Intends to Solicit And Negotiate with Only One Source under Authority of Far 6.302. A Determination by the Government Not to Compete this Proposed Simplified Acquisition Based upon Responses to this Notice Is Solely Within the Discretion Of the Government.
