TAHOMA NATIONAL CEMETERY PHASE II COLUMBARIUMS The VA Puget Sound Health Care System intends to negotiate with JGM of Bellevue Washington, on a sole source basis for Phase II-Columbariums, of the Tahoma National Cemetery. These services have been provided to VA by JGM under contract for the preceding Phase I. Based on the information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Evaluation factors for the award of the contract are: (1) Prior experience with National Cemetery Project Design Specifications, especially those for Columbariums; (2) Familiarity and understanding of Washington State law regarding the protection of native wetlands, specifically those wetlands previously identified at the Tahoma National Cemetery; (3) Location of the contractor's office within a 25 mile radius of Tahoma Washington; (4) Cost; (5)Interpretation and Application of Phase I design work to the requirements of Phase II within a relatively quick turn-around-time. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities by responding to the factors listed above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7 calendar days of the date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. All information is to be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
