equipment, supervision and transportation required to replace HVAC
system at U.S. Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach, NC. Project work
includes the following: 1.1 Remove 9 existing fan coil units complete
including valves, piping, thermostats and ductwork located above
suspended ceiling; 1.2 Install 10 new fan coil units including valves,
piping, thermostats and ductwork as indicated on drawings; 1.3 Remove
2_ x 4_ acoustical ceiling tile, suspension system and grid in areas
indicated on contract drawings; 1.4 Install approximately 4,800 square
feet of new 2_ x 2_ acoustical ceiling tile, suspension system and
grid in areas indicated on contract drawings; 1.5 Install approximately
4,800 square feet of R-19 batt insulation above new suspended
acoustical ceiling; 1.6 Remove existing outdoor condenser unit and
associated indoor chiller, pump and piping and replace with a new
single unit packaged chiller, pump and piping. Remove existing concrete
equipment pad and replace with a new pad sized for new chiller package;
1.7 Abandon underslab ductwork. Fill floor supply air registers with
concrete level with existing floor. Remove an 18_ wide carpet strip in
areas of capped supply air registers and replace with carpet tile
border; 1.8 Insulate all new heating/cooling water supply and return
piping located above suspended ceiling. The period of performance is
140 days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between
$100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and is open to both small and large
businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. The SIC code for this procurement is 1711. Due
dates for bids will be not less than 30 days after bid issuance. NO
