The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Universal Systems, Ltd, doing business as CARIS, 264 Rookwood Avenue, Fredericton, NB, Canada E3B 2M2. This procurement is for Computer Aided Resource Information System (CARIS) commercial software and training for, one (1) each CARIS HIPS/SIPS for Windows NT4.0 includes, CARIS HDCS, CARIS Spatial Editor, CARIS Cartographer, CARIS DTM, CARIS Suppress Soundings, CARIS SIPS, one (1) CARIS GIS for Windows NT 4.0, three (3) each CARIS SAMI for Windows NT4.0, four (4) each CARIS DOM DNC for Windows NT 4.0. Training by one (1) CARIS Engineer, for ten (10) working days, beginning 21 August 2000 and ending 01 September 2000, on CARIS DOM shall be provided onsite, at Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS, for seven (7) Government employees. Training shall include training preparation, student materials (manuals), Instructor expenses, and seven (7) CARIS keys for DOM for the duration of the training.
