The Navy requires refurbishment of Linear Demolition Charge M913 containers in accordance with NAVSEASYSCOM drawings and a Crane Statement of Work. A two year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite quantity type contract is anticipated. The minimum would consist of the refurbishment of 204 containers in accordance with the Statement of Work minimum refurbishment requirements for each container. The contract maximum is minimum refurbishment of 900 containers. Other parts replacement and refurbishment may also be necessary. Work shall include complete cleaning; repair of surface and structural damage; replacement of gaskets, seals and other missing or damaged components; repair and/or replacement of containers lids; repair and/or replacement of container components; paint using Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) paint; and performance of container unit leak tests. The containers will be provided as Government Furnished Material to the contractor in truckloads of 32 each. Refurbishment of the first 32 each is required F.o.b. Crane, IN within 120 days after receipt of Government Furnished Material. The contractor shall return the refurbished containers at contractor's expense to Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Crane, IN. Container dimensions are approximately 85" x 54" x 22". Each container weighs approximately 700 pounds. The bottom of the container is manufactured from steel. The container lid is manufactured from special mill run, non-standard size (3/4" x 83-1/4" x 53 3/4") plywood coated with fiberglass. Inspection and acceptance will be performed at the NSWC Crane. Contractors may request a site visit to view the containers to be refurbished.
