A -- ACCESS EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES INFORMATION CENTER(ERIC) SOL n/a POC Nadine Kim, Contract Specialist, at (202) 260-1679 or E-mail: nadine_kim@ed.gov The Department of Education seeks capability statements from Small Businesses, especially Women-owned and/or Small Disadvantaged businesses for the operation and maintenance of the ACCESS ERIC component of the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC). ACCESS ERIC coordinates the ERIC outreach, dissemination, and marketing activities; develops system-wide ERIC publications; and provides general reference and referral services. It also maintains the central ERIC web site that provides a unified point of entry to the web sites maintained by each ERIC component. The contract requires a knowledge of the ERIC system; expertise in outreach and dissemination; and the organizational capabilities and resources necessary to operate a highly intricate contract. The contract also requires technical knowledge and expertise in database management and Internet technologies to help the ERIC system continue its move from a paper-based system to an online web-based system. The contract is for five years (base yearplus four option years) scheduled to be awarded by December 31, 2000.
