The Regional Services Center Budapest, on behalf of the United States [AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT] (USAID) Mission in Croatia intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from U.S firms for the provision of engineering, design, and construction services for the rehabilitation of community infrastructure in Croatia. The contract will be for rehabilitation of small and medium scale infrastructure projects such as local electricity distribution, water supply, sanitation including sewers and solid waste management, schools and health clinics and other public buildings and local roads. This award will be based on full and open competition following two-phase design-build selection procedures in accordance with FAR Subpart 36.3. The contract is expected to run for 15 months and to cost $5,000,000. The RFP, when issued, will provide the final information on the closing date. USAID intends to release the RFP on or about June 20, 2000. Telephone requests for the RFP will not be honored. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format). If you require a copy of the solicitation in paper form, you must specifically ask for it, but you will not receive both a copy in paper form and a floppy disk.
