30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB, is soliciting offers to Replace Panic
Hardware on Stairwell Exit Doors at Vandenberg AFB. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
F04684-00-T0513 and will be issued as a request for quotation. The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. The SIC code is
8999 and the size standard is $5,000,000. This acquisition is a 100%
small business set-aside. The Contractor is to provide all labor,
tools, parts, materials, transportation, facilities and supervision
necessary to accomplish the following task: replace panic hardware on
stairwell exit doors at facility 7015 on Vandenberg AFB. There are nine
sets of double doors (18 total doors) that are interior stairwell
exits. The facility is a three-floor complex with 3 sets of double
doors per floor. The eighteen total doors currently have Monarch panic
hardware devices on them that are inoperable and need to be replaced.
The existing hardware will be removed and disposed of and new panic
hardware will be put in its' place. The new hardware will be a
surface-style panic hardware, "Von Duprin" brand or equal, with 99
series rim device for an LHR door. Trim should be 992L-R. Strike should
be 299. The finish should be US26D. Latching will be against the
existing mullions. Cylinders for key-locking these doors, if required,
will be provided by the government. Please provide in your quote all
applicable documents and catalogs for the requested panic hardware.
Also, please indicate in your quote the number of days to complete the
work listed above. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, "Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial" apply to this acquisition. The provisions at FAR
52.212-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items" apply to this acquisition. The
items being evaluated are technical merit and price. This item is
being procured and will be awarded using simplified acquisition
procedures in accordance with FAR 13.0. Offerors must submit a
completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items." The clause at FAR
52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items" applies to
this acquisition. DFARS clauses are incorporated in this solicitation
with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
Contractor will submit a completed copy of the clause at DFARS
