COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 9,2000 PSA#2618FDA/PSC -- WOMEN OWNED AND SMALL BUSINESS SEMINAR/EXPO The Small
Business Offices of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the
Program Support Center (PSC), both divisions of the U.S. Health and
Human Services Department, will be hosting a "Women Owned and Small
Business Seminar/Expo" on June 19, 2000 at the NIH William J. Natcher
Conference Center in Bethesda, MD from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The
seminars will be held in Balconies A, B and C and the exhibitors will
be in the Atrium. The seminars will be from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
One-on-one counseling tables will set-up from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
to provide the community with information on the latest procurement
opportunities available within their areas. Exhibits will take place in
the Atrium from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Suggested topics that the
panelist will discuss are as follows: "2000 Issues Relating to Small
Business"; "Strategies for Successful Contracting"; "Doing Business
with GSA"; "Contracting with FDA and Understanding the Acquisition
Process"; "Using ECWEB in PSC for Processing Acquisitions". There will
also be a Q & A at the end of the seminar. The purpose of this
seminar/expo is to share information with the small business community
by covering topics relevant to the acquisition process and to interact
with program contract coordinators and other small business firms.
Government personnel will be on-hand to talk about acquisitions within
