Brazzi, (415) 575-7568 The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will be issuing a solicitation for the snow removal and sanding services. The successful Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to provide snow removal and sand services at the Ogden IRS Center located at 1160 West 1200 South, Ogden, UT 84201. Services shall be performed in the parking areas and roadways, approximately 1,100,000 square feet. The parking area provides parking for approximately 2,000 vehicles. All of the spaces are filled during the day shift operation (5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday. A considerable number of vehicles are present during the swing shift operation (4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.), with the fewest number of vehicles being present during the graveyard shift (1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.). In order to clear the maximum amount of snow, the contractor shall normally plan on removing snow during the graveyard shift. The period of performance will be for a Base Period and Four, one-year option periods. Services will be required from November 1 through the month of February for each period. If all options are exercised, performance will end on February 28, 2005. The solicitation will be issued under FAR Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation). The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 4959, the size standard is $5.0 million. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be a 100% small business set-aside. A written solicitation will be issued on or around July 17, 2000. Quotations will be due not later than 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 16, 2000. The IRS will not accept incomplete or late quotations. All quotations, certifications and representations and any backup documentation must be received on or before the required time and due date.
