10 -- MK 46 OPTICAL SIGHT SYSTEM SOL N00024-00-R-5239 DUE 081500 POC Timothy Starker, SEA 02523T, (703)602-7904 x526 The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for fifteen (15) MK 46 Optical Sight Systems, data, Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), and Provisioned Items Order (PIO) for FY99 -- FY04 DDG-51 Class ships. Three (3) additional units may be required for land-based facilities. The OSS will be comprised of the following major configuration items: (a) an above deck stabilized pedestal mounting an electro-optical sensor suite; (b) a below deck operating console, based upon a GFM AN/UYQ-70 OJ-719 Command and Decision Console; and (c) not more than two below deck ancillary equipment enclosures. The current system is in the Production, Fielding/Deployment, and Operational Support phase. This requirement will be solicited via full and open competition utilizing a performance specification.
